After more than a year of work, you can say – we have it! We are able to identify microorganisms responsible for the development of tuberculosis and other mycobacteriosis in humans using the LC-MS / MS method.
During the research, we determined characteristic biomarkers and their profiles, which constitute the basis of an innovative diagnostic method prepared for implementation. The key advantages of our solution are:
– very high specificity of the test (over 95%),
– identification of microorganisms from the group Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBc) and others (MOTT)!
– diagnostics time – several hours!
– sensitivity (ultimately below 50 cfu / ml)!
The figures present the same results in several ways, showing the data related to the identification of microorganisms using the LC-MS / MS method – pie chart, PCA analysis, heatmap and bar charts for selected groups of microorganisms.
